My name is Billy Forsyth. It’s great to meet you!
I was born in Temple Texas but moved up here to Alaska when I was only a year old. I might have been born somewhere else but I am a true Alaskan. We hunt, we fish, we hike, we camp, and we exercise.
I have a beautiful wife and four sons. My Mom, Dad, and 2 brothers live in Anchorage. I didn’t always have a dad growing up so life started out a little rough, until my mom met the man who would later adopt me as his own. I went to Scenic Park for elementary school, Wendler for middle school and Bartlett for high school. However, I didn’t graduate from there. I ended up getting my G.E.D. when I was 17. I had my first job when I was 14 working at a dog grooming and dog daycare called Golden Days. I had many jobs before I started doing Spit Shine, 34 in total I think. I had no idea what I wanted to do- so I tried everything. I got a job working at a rain gutter installation company, Alaska Custom Gutters, for a few years and they were actually the ones that had the idea for me to start a business (I was 19 at the time). I’ve been running Spit Shine ever since. Our business has grown tremendously in a short time and it’s been hard and it has been fun. I feel like this is what I was made to do! I love providing a quality service and job opportunities while providing for my family. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to run this company.
